ZTVs & GIS
GIS SERVICES
Clients often say to us "I have heard of GIS, and that i should be using it, but I don't know what it does and where to start". That's where we come in. We can guide you through the basics of what GIS can offer to you and your company, and can help you decide whether it is right for you and you project. We take the hassle out of sourcing data and producing plans, so that you can concentrate on delivering your projects on time and within budget. You simply tell us what you need, or are trying to achieve, and leave the rest to us.
A geographic information system (GIS) lets us visualise, question, analyse and interpret data to understand relationships, patterns and trends, and display this information in an easily accessible way. GIS benefits organisations of all sizes and in almost every industry. There is a growing interest in, and awareness of, the economic and strategic value of GIS.
We can produce a range of drawings and plan to support your reports and projects. We specialise in producing:
-
Constraints mapping
-
Site search models and mapping
-
ZTVs (Zone of theoretical Visibility)
-
Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) figures
ZTVs (ZONE OF THEORETICAL VISIBILITY)
ZTVs are an incredibly useful tool to enable developers and key stakeholders to asses the potential visibility of a proposed scheme. They can help in the initial design process by enabling our clients to adjust their layouts to reduce any potential visual impacts on the surroundings. Once the proposals have been finalised, a ZTV can be used to select potential viewpoints from which an on the ground photographic assessment can be made.
Here at Snapshot Visuals, we have designed bespoke analytical models to enable us to produce a range of ZTVs, harnessing the most accurate data available on the market. We can produce a range of ZTVs including:
-
Bare Earth ZTVs
-
Screened ZTVs (utilising freely available Ordnance Survey data)
-
LIDAR ZTVs (utilising the most up to data Digital Terrain (DTM) and Surface (DSM) Models
-
Cumulative ZTVs
